This may be old news by now, but I still think it’s interesting to see the ways that churches are reaching out to people these days.
In Boise, Idaho a couple months ago, anyone with unpaid parking tickets could stop by City Hall where a cross-denominational group of area pastors sat with checkbooks in hand to pay off any parking fines that were presented to them.
No questions asked.
It was merely an act of good will on behalf of Treasure Valley pastors. In all, over 70 churches participated and a total of $10,000 was given out toward unpaid parking tickets.
This charitable act was led by a group called Mission Media, and here’s their website about the project. See why they did it.
