I don’t know what it is about these two things…
While not really games, they sure were a great way to pass the time when I was a kid.
With the Lite-Brite, I always tried to cover every single hole with a color — all the while, making a meaningful picture.
As for the Etch-a-Sketch, my mission was to “clear” every square inch of the board — just to see what was back there behind the scenes. I only succeeded once or twice, because I usually got bumped along the way and had to start over.
I blame these two kids’ activities for my OCD.
Oh the joy… try the online versions:
I like to help people find unique ways to do things in order to save time & money — so I write about “outside the box” ideas that most wouldn’t think of. As a lifelong dog owner, I often share my best tips for living with and training dogs. I worked in Higher Ed over 10 years before switching gears to pursue activities that I’m truly passionate about. I’ve worked at a vet, in a photo lab, and at a zoo — to name a few. I enjoy the outdoors via bicycle, motorcycle, Jeep, or RV.
