There have been two recent changes in the TV world that will forever impact our kids.
One is Bugs Bunny‘s extreme makeover taking him from “a smart, cuddly bunny” to “an extremely powerful super action hero”.
The other is Cookie Monster‘s decision to eat “healthier” these days. What?… No more COOKIES!?!
It’s true. Sesame Street is attempting to promote healty eating habits, and their overweight, blue monster who stuffs his mouth with chocolate chip cookies on a regular basis isn’t going to cut it anymore.
Likewise, the folks at Looney Tunes have created a new cartoon called Loonatics that is set in the year 2772, and their new sleeker, modernized versions of Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Tasmanian Devil, Lola Bunny, Road Runner and Wile E. Coyote will serve as action heroes.
Oh well, such is life. At least we will all have our memories of “the way they used to be”…
