I just heard a Bud Light "Real Men of Genius" ad on the radio ("Mr. Cargo Pants Designer ... is that a banana in your pocket?"), and it reminded me of the fact that there IS no better ad campaign in history than Bud Light's "Real Men of Genius" (formerly known as "Real American Heroes") radio ads. They are pure brilliance!

It was soooooo taboo to have the mp3 on our system (navy ship computer)that the C.O.'s (captains of ships) had it removed from like 4 AIRCRAFT CARRIERS. There was a Real Men of Genius Commercial that was about the perpetual turn signal driver or something to that subject. I remember hearing this one at least twice on the car radio. Can you help identify this one. In it describes a driver who has their turning signal no. It goes on to say that even though it's on, eventually somewhere, sometime they will take that right hand turn. Maybe not now, or even at the light but some where.

I listened to a radio interview about 8 mos. back and Pete Stacker said he drew his first check in 1998 for Real American Heroes. This is a 1st for me to hear this. To my knowledge there were 40 RAH, which some were released again as RMOG after 9/11.They stated they've done 200 radio spots and another 500 special spots for Radio Stations, Sports Teams, etc. Some we'll never hear on the air due to the FCC Rules. So if you count the RAH as a totally separate ad, then they are 740 ads minium at the time of the ad. I believe the radio ad of Pete speaking of this ran in February of 2008.

These Commercials are HILARIOUS!!! Very good marketing idea. Correction to the last comment, Frank Stallone is NOT the background rock singer. Though the singer did sing Eye Of The Tiger, his name is Dave Bickler. He was the singer of the '80's rock band "Survivor" and has been the background singer in the commercials.

Josh, If you search On YouTube for the name for AtlantasChronicles as one word, he/she has 174 Real Men of Genius' and another 41 Real American Heroes.This is the most I've seen anywhere. I know of three salutes not on the list as his favorites point to them. Also any live clips done by Chicago WGN will not be, Chicago Tribune holds the copyrights to them. Only two I know for fact that isn't on that site are Mr. Las Vegas Trip Take and Mr. Blind Towel Giver Outter.So roughly it's about 220 clips known to exist as many cannot be confirmed to have existed...

tom, i also have an obscure one i can't find. i think it was when they were still 'real american heroes' and there was an incident at a high school where the principal wouldn't let the girls wear thongs, so to insure that none of them were, she was pulling up their skirts or dresses and checking. about a month later there was "we salute you, mrs. thong underwear checker outer lady." i have searched and searched, but i can't find that anywhere.

I've heard many authentic Bud Light commercials, including one from Hawaii (I think it was "Mr. Parasail Harness Hooker Upper Guy"). It was very funny, and included a line that I recall as "you barely blink as you hook up a winch near a man's groin" then the background singer goes "A-LOOOOOO-HA!"

Ok... from that perspective, not as much of an issue. Do hospitals really require those who don't need to be sterile to wear scrubs to work? If not, that that begs the question, why are you trying to look more important than you are by wearing a uniform primarily intended for those of a higher status within your profession. If don't need to wear sterile garb, why would you?
Now I have even less respect-you are trying to flaunt a status you dont even have.

New Bud Light commercial - Retractable Field Button Pusher
FYI, Bud Light is releasing a new "real men of genius" commercial tonight during the Superbowl. I am the pilot for the company that designed and built the retractable grass field and retractable roof for the Cardinal's stadium,(where the Superbowl is this year). Budwiser contacted them about making a new commercial and needed info about the grass field. I heard the pre-release version and it is hilarious! I hope you enjoy it. -Chad

Secondly gotta reply to dee bag about the scrubs. Sorry to burst your bubble but most people who do that work in a hospital in ALL kinds of positions clerks, housekeeeping, sometimes even just people who move other people around. They wear them outside of the hospital because they are NOT intended for a "sterile" environment. Hospitals are full of bugs obviously so the only ones who are so lucky as to wear scrubs in a sterile environment are the ones who work in the operating rooms and they do wear other clothes INTO work and then change into their scrubs and get their scrubs laundered for them! The ones who wear them out places is because they didn't have time to go home and change after work and they probably work somewhere in the hospital that they wear the scrubs into work each morning. I'd say the ones that are vein are the people who purposely bring EXTRA clothes into work every day just to change before they leave. Thankfully I don't have to wear scrubs to work anymore :-)
Besides all that it is pretty funny!

I don't know if it's just in Houston, given the prevalence of medical professionals here (the word "professional" used for simplicity and not because those individuals truly are or act like professionals) but does anyone else notice when these people wear their scrubs, which are intended for wear in a sterile environment only, outside of medical facilities. (to restaurants/bars, etc.) Do people really care that they are doctors, interns, whatever. I’m pretty sure its primarily med school or nursing students. It screams, "Look at me! I am looking for several of the 2004 mp3's. Also found that there are 2 NEW TV AD's. Both are for the NFL. One is for the NFL Titans and the other is St.Louis Rams. The Titans is Mr. Raise the Net Before You get the Field Goal Guy and the other is a Salute to St.Louis Rams. Both have a unique style. RAH used still pictures in their TV Ads and Men of Genius a combination of both. These are nice looking ads. My advice? Just spell it out for people, rather than type your entire email address the proper way.

Man, is this thread a great resource for RMOG commercials! Thanks to you folks, I now have 150 radio and 11 video ads. On the other paw, also thanks to you folks, I have a list of 91 rumors to search for. *grumble* Yes, I read every post here. It took three days.
A few minutes ago, I offered my entire stash to Lynnette so she can update her list way up at the top. That's easier for me than filling requests.
Before anyone asks: I don't have any of the ads that have been requested every week since 2005, I won't post a list because it'll look like a copy/paste of the dozens of lists already in the thread, and I don't have a decent instrumental version. I found a couple but they're horrible remakes.
The only good instrumental is on budlight.com's birthday card maker, and that's embedded in a .swf, making it difficult to obtain. I'll work on that over the weekend. There's a post in here suggesting a way to capture streaming audio that I want to try.
Anyway, like I said, great place! You people are fantastic. If only I could find a similar place for the Budweiser frogs/lizards/ferret commercials.. I have about 30 of those but I'm not happy with the quality of most of 'em.

you can put launch vehicles into space (the music in the back would say I can see uranis)but you can't read the sign that says restroom closed (can I go in?) I would really like to hear somrthing on this. Has anyone ever heard the one real men of genius ad with about the porno cameraman? I heard it years ago on I think the Howard Stern show, only 1 time. It was obviously a parody, but it sounded like it was done by the same people who did the original bud light commercials. Yes, they work on an Ipod, you need to convert it to an AAC file first, then you can put it on your ipod. I have a few on mine right now.
