Just for laughs...

Today I came across an old video that Jim and I did -- and it made me laugh. We just looked so stupid.

Actually it was the very first video we ever created (with our new video camera), and it was simply a trial & error thing, but for some reason, we felt compelled to post it.

At the time, we were about to embark on a trip to Gatlinburg for the weekend... and we were eager to record everything with our brand new Canon digital video camera.

Trust me when you watch this (well, I don't know... maybe only our close friends will "get it"), but I think it just goes to show how valuable unedited, first attempts and first impressions are -- no matter WHAT the topic!

Allow me to add my $.02 about what makes a dream wedding.

Summarized, it would be this:

I had a dream wedding...

I'm in need of a vacation.

I mean more than just a day or two off from work. I mean a GETAWAY... a TRIP... an ADVENTURE where I have to travel more than 30 minutes to get there.

Ahhhh... but until Jim finds the time to whisk me away to some beachy paradise location, I'm left to reminisce about two of my all-time favorite vacations:

• A Caribbean Cruise; and

It was on a sunny beach in Jacksonville, Florida on April 23, 1999 that we initially pledged our love... and our desire to spend the rest of our lives together. We even drew our dreams in the sand and preserved the moment in photographs.

On December 5, 1999, we packed the bare essentials, then put ourselves in "cruise control" for a relaxing "weddingmoon" where every last detail had been taken care of for us by a wedding planner who specializes in tropical wedding locations.

We chose what is known as a "Destination Wedding" or a "Weddingmoon".
