They're Changing The 7 Wonders Of The World!

| Comments (2)

The seven wonders of the world may never be the same again...

That's because they're reevaluating the current list of top 7 wonders of the world, and they're inviting you to have a say in the final list of the world's wonders.

"Maybe it simply feeds modern society's obsession with lists and rankings, but more than 2,000 years after ancient Greeks identified the Seven Wonders of the World, millions of people around the globe are casting Internet ballots to update the list." Source

Seven Wonders Of The World?... Here Are The Top 100

| Comments (1)

Lynnette and Jim standing at the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. On our recent trip to Arizona (including Sedona and the Grand Canyon), we were talking about the Grand Canyon being one of the Seven Wonders of the World.

Turns out, it's not. The Grand Canyon is one of the Seven NATURAL Wonders of the World instead! (There is a difference.)

The Grand Canyon is a stone formation that has been carved by water, winds, seas and sands that gets more then 4 million visitors a year. It is 277 miles long, 18 miles wide and 1 mile deep.

Anyway, it looks like I'm not alone. Many people wonder about the top wonders of the world, and there's even a catch-all list of sorts called the "Top 100 Wonders of the World" that's been created -- probably so people can just say that they've been to one of the Top Wonders of the World or something... Count me in!

All this "wondering" led me to consider the many places that I have been -- far and wide -- and I began to wonder where those places rank on the "Top 100 Wonders of the World" list.

Want to see if the places you have been appear on the Top Wonders of the World list?

We Work For The New York Times Now!

Jim photographing Fort Pickens for an article we were doing when we ran the Pensacola.about.com website. Today, we do the 4wheeldrive.about.com website. As most of you know, we do a website for About.com called 4wheeldrive.about.com. It's a 4-wheeling site for people who own four-wheel drive vehicles or ATVs and enjoy driving them off-road.

(...Yes, we own a four-wheel drive vehicle, and yes, we enjoy taking it off-road.)

Well, the big news in our world is the fact that we've just been bought by the New York Times! Whooo hooo!
