...it sure was a long walk to get up here!

At this point, we weren't really looking forward to the long walk back -- even though it WAS downhill.

Clingman's Dome is the Great Smoky Mountains National Park's highest point. At 6,643 ft, it's also the highest point in Tennessee and the 2nd highest point east of the Mississippi (1st highest is Mt. Mitchell in North Carolina at 6,684 ft).
