Not only did they serve us all the Rum Punch we could drink (for FREE) on the boat ride to and from St. Maarten, they also drove us through the "non-touristy" streets of the city.

(It was actually quite depressing to see how these people live, but the behind-the-scenes tour was cool.)

Truth is, Rum Punch was served everywhere you looked... It's definitely a Caribbean favorite!

The recipe for Rum Punch:
1-1/2 c. water
1/4/ c. fresh lemon juice
3 T. confectioner's sugar
3/4 c. strawberry-flavored syrup
3/4 c. rum
dash of grated nutmeg
