While there appears to be a lot of rushing water here in the Harpeth River, Mike ended up carrying his kayak over the rocks through shallow water most of the way on his 4-hour journey.

We didn't know before this, but this part of the Harpeth tends to be quite shallow. Plus, we hadn't had rain in awhile either.
