While in Arizona, we had hoped to see five specific things:

1. The desert (we mistakenly thought that Arizona's desert would resemble the Sahara or Mojave deserts... NOT!)

2. Tall cactus (or "cacti" as Jim calls them)

3. Pueblos (we envisioned adobe housing structures in every direction, but basically all we saw were single-story mobilehome-type domiciles with air conditioners on the roofs!)

4. Picturesque rock formations (like we'd only seen in pictures)

5. Beautiful scenery (...could anything really top the white sandy beaches we'd spent most of our adult lives worshiping?)

After being SLIGHTLY let down by the first three (or lack thereof) in the Phoenix area on Day One, we were delighted to find that Sedona had last two covered!
