We encountered this HUGE sea turtle in the Gulf of Mexico while our pontoon boat was anchored at sea & we were fishing off the side.

First, there was a loud thud in the back of the boat, then we spotted this unusual sea life bobbing up and down alongside our boat.

It was actually somewhat frightening, because it was such a rare sight.

Sad but true: Lynnette was afraid he'd use his underwater sonar to call all of his big whale & shark friends... and in their frenzy to play together, they'd stir up a lot of underwater commotion and tip our boat! (Hey, your mind plays tricks on you when you're deep out in the ocean, and there are no other people or boats as far as the eye can see!)
