Mud Island River Park about the Mississippi River.

Mud Island River Park

One of the lesser-known tourist spots in downtown Memphis is Mud Island River Park.

It's a 52-acre park that rises out of the river itself -- a replica of the Mississippi River, carved out in stone and cement, and filled with water. It extends 5 city blocks. It's also the nation's only significant tribute to the mighty Mississip.
