Are you a Black Friday junkie who gets up early each year to take advantage of all the post-Thanksgiving Day specials? Or are you a Black Friday newbie who's eager to see what all the hype is about?
I'm somewhere in between.
If you're the least bit interested in Black Friday sales events, then you'll probably want to sign up to be a Best Buy VIP. (Psst... the best prize in this contest might be the simple fact that you get to avoid the Black Friday lines!)
Best Buy is looking for a few good people (25 to be exact) who want to receive a $1,000 Best Buy gift card, a Pure Digital Flip Video Ultra Series Camcorder, and VIP treatment at the designated Best Buy store closest to you, including:
A limo ride to and from Best Buy on the morning after Thanksgiving
On-site pampering and prizes for the winner and 3 guests
Early admittance into the store at 4:30 a.m. (a half hour before anyone else)
The ability to purchase up to 4 Black Friday doorbusters
Here's the scoop...
If you've always wanted Photoshop, but couldn't afford the high price tag ($1,000 for the full Photoshop version, or $100 for Photoshop Elements), now's your chance to use Photoshop for FREE from now on.
Adobe has created an online-version of their Photoshop program. They call it Adobe Photoshop Express.
One of the best things about it is the fact that the program is completely Web-based so you can access it from any computer at any time.
Check it out!...
Remember when I wrote about sites that compare shipping costs for packages? Well, that's helpful when you have to ship something (even a letter) and you first want to find out which courier service is the cheapest -- UPS, FedEx, DHL, USPS, etc.
Turns out, there's a similar site that compares prices of photo printing sites, too. I bet this is one that most of us will be using on a regular basis!
I recently got a new camera -- because Jim's always out of town using our beloved Canon Digital Rebel.
I decided not to get a Canon... despite the fact that we have never been happier with the digital photos shot with our Digital Rebel.
Check out these photos on Flickr taken with a Canon Digital Rebel.
I simply wanted to try something different for a change. And I wanted to be able to compare digital cameras to see if there really was a difference -- especially between manufacturers.
Well, there is...
Have you ever accidentally deleted some photos from your camera's memory card (SmartMedia, Sony Memory Stick, IBM Micro Drive, MultiMediaCard, Secure Digital card, or any other common data storage devices for digital cameras)?
We hadn't until yesterday. Jim was on the road. When he's at the races, he sends me a fresh batch of photos to upload to his racer's websites each day. Only, on this day, he accidentally deleted half of the pictures before he actually sent them to me.
And of course, they were the best ones... the photos that people were eagerly waiting to see online!
I did a little research here at home and found a FREE program that saved the day...
I've written a lot about the fun things you can do with Flickr before...
Those posts have been well received, so now I present you with the mac-daddy of all Flickr fun sites.
In case you haven't experimented with Flickr photos yet, listen up... what follows are EASY and fun things that you can do with your photos online! All you need is a digital camera and a computer with access to the Internet. Best of all these things are all FREE!
Here's another fun idea from the folks at Photojojo (...the creative people who show us new ways to try DIY projects with photos).
