Win This BPA-Free CamelBak Podium Water Bottle!
Have you been wanting to try out a new BPA-free water bottle but don't want to shell out the extra $$$ for it?
Well now you can win one for FREE here at The Fun Times Guide to Living Green.
The bottle you can win is no plain jane, run-of-the-mill off brand bottle.
No, no, no.
It's the CamelBak Podium bottle, and it leaves all other eco-friendly water bottles in the dust...especially for those with an active lifestyle.
Read on to discover the array of features to the CamelBak Podium bottle and find out the simple details of how to win one!
I've been a big fan of CamelBak for a long time, but they earned even more points when they led the charge in ridding the harmful toxin called bisphenol-a (BPA) from our reusable water bottles.
Well now they've taken that mission a step further.
Step Up to the Podium:
The CamelBak Podium bottle brings you all of the pros and none of the cons of popular water bottles. It's marketed to cyclists, but I use it for my everyday bottle.
The fact that it fits in the standard water bottle cage and is the best bottle for my interval training and gym sessions is just the icing on the cake!
- made from BPA-free custom-blended TrueTasteTM
- Unique, high-flow squeeze valve that self-seals and is lockable (seriously, it will NOT leak AT ALL!)
- TruTaste plastic keeps your liquids tasting plastic-free
- HydroGuard prevents bacteria
- Available in 24 and 21 oz. designs
- Available in six color combinations
- MSRP: $8.00 (21 oz.) and $9.00 (24 oz.)
No matter what liquid you put in this bottle, from sports drinks to plain old water, you taste your beverage, not your bottle. As with any plastic container (not just bottles), you NEVER want to fill them with contents that are hot.
This bottle truly does have a great flow rate and is very easy to squeeze. It fills your mouth with one quick squeeze and cuts off the flow cleanly with no splatter.
Combine the eco-friendliness and safety of this bottle with the fact that EVERYTHING you could want in a water bottle is included, and you can't go wrong with the CamelBak Podium.

Favorite fun way to live green is to make something out of the recyclable plastic bottles like flowers and then when we get tired of that decor send them back to be recycled.
WE RECYCLE EVERYTHING AND REMEMBER THE GOLDEN RULE " IF ITS BROWN FLUSH IT DOWN, BUT IF ITS YELLOW LET IT MELLOW"
Our goal is to have the recycle bin filled larger than the garbage one.
teach our children at a young age, save the trees.
In the summe, we biked the 3 miles each way to the Dairy Queen instead of driving. I saved gas and could eat my ice cream without feeling as guilty. Of course, we also recycle!
I would love to win. Thanks!
For me it is all about the organic gardening and making my home more energy efficient.
We recycle everything we can.
Always try and ride my bike instead of driving, great exercise and good for the environment
I'll save waste paper with a blank side to print things on a second time, or to make myself to-do lists; it gets in reusing and then recycling!
i love gardening i hope that makes me green :)
My favorite way to live green is recycling. I've been doing it for years, way before it became popular. Many years ago I was part of a "recycling committee" at a company I worked for. We had a great time thinking of ways we would convince all the employees to participate. Thanks for the giveaway. Camelbak has some great products and this looks like it is no different.
We make using public transportation family time. We take drawing pads and story books on the bus or the train and take advantage of that time together.
We recycle and compost everything that we can. It's great to help the environment and get free fertilizer for the garden as well.
We grocery shop for recylable products
Recycling cans and bottles is fun because we get the deposit money back and then we can splurge on a treat!
It would have to be reusing paper bags for craft projects with the kids. They get a kick out of it and it is better than me buying new paper for craft time!
We like to walk or ride bikes instead of going by car. We also recycle whatever we can. Thank you for the contest!
I believe almost everything can be recycled or re-used. I love it when I figure new uses for something. Some favorites are using bottle caps for checker pieces, furniture feet, cat treat dish, doorstops, or in place of gravel with potted plants.

I only use vinegar and water to clean and not toxic chemicals.
I love growing our own food. Thanks for the chance to win.
I try to find creative ways to use kitchen scraps--like feed them to the wildlife since we live in a rural area.
100 mile radius for thanksgiving dinner....
Reuse containers for crayons and other household items.
We have a lot of fun taking all our recyclables to the recycling plant once a month or so.
Composting
I am attempting to live green by making my own cleaning supplies. Better for my family and the environment.
I love composting
We compost kitchen and yard waste, which makes a better garden, which makes more waste, etc. etc. Thanks for the giveaway.
We use reuseable boxes in our son's lunch instead of plastic bags. Thanks, justicecw@hotmail.com
we compost and are planning on putting in a garden next year
We enjoy growing our own organic foods.
When we go on vacation instead of staying at a hotel or resort we prefer to find a camp ground. It's more affordable for us and better for the environment. But if we have to stay at a hotel I always put in a request to not have the sheets in the bed changed during our stay. This cuts down on energy usage a lot! But camping is way more fun!!!!
My green tip is to reduce air conditioner usage by leaving windows open at night in order to let the cool night air into the house, then close the windows as soon as it starts getting warm to trap the cold air in. Or if there's a breeze open the windows that will catch the breeze only. We live in the desert and it can get pretty hot here, but I hate using the central air and only did two days year.
I can't afford to buy lots of new plastic stuff and make lunches from stuff that grows on our apple tree.
We walk everywhere we can...and save on gas, etc....used to jump in the car for everything, but not anymore :)
thanks for entry
My favorite way of going green also helps me save some green. When I first started driving I loved to "gas it" all the time. I've learned though that you can actually save a lot of fuel by accelerating more gradually. It all adds up. So instead of revving the engine, I try to keep my car as quiet as can be.

We put dimmers on our lights so now every room has 'mood' lighting.
The best way is to plant your own vegetable garden.
Replacing the standard lightbulbs with the long lasting kind. Not only did our electric bill drop, but we haven't had one burn out yet, which appeals to my laziness.
My favorite way to live green is instead of studying in my dorm room with the lights on I like to go and study outside or in large study areas that the lights are always on in!
These days, most restaurants serve huge portions. When eating out, bring your own tupperware to take leftovers home instead of asking for a styrofoam doggy bag. Reduce sytrofoam usage and save yourself the trouble of transferring food to another container! Disclaimer: This is for the thick-skinned. Rarely anyone does this so you might get a few odd looks.
We installed a home water filtration system and ditched the gallon bottles of water. I then relamped the entire house with CFL bulbs. Also, we have been using shopping bags made from recycled cotton for over a year now. At first I was a bit apprehensive about paying the money upfront for going more green, but the more I do, the more satisfaction I seem to get out of it.
Also, switching from "traditional" brands of cleaners, cleansers, and soaps removes you from the harmful chemicals that we come across during a normal day.
Thanks to everyone for the ideas, too!
We bought a hybrid and parked the F-350. We ride our bikes whenever possible.

Walk when possible
Single stream recycling was recently introduced where we live, and it's so nice to toss all of our recyclables into one bin and have it picked up at the curb versus hauling it downtown.

I use re-useable cotton grocery bags.
I buy everything but groceries used, use cloth bags when grocery shopping, and moved to be closer to work and use less gas.
I love making papercrafts--and my house provides all the material I ever need. All the paper trash from school--handouts, flyers, old homework--is recycled into boredom-passing art projects. Post-its left over from having to take notes on every single page of the books we read in English are highly convenient, since they're already squares, and so, it's easy to make modular origami out of them.

My favorite way to be green is to pick projects on my home, large or small, and fix them to be green. Lights, Insulation, HVAC ducts, you name it...I fix it. Trying to make my home Green, Retro-style!
My favorite green living tip is shopping at my local Goodwill and Salvation Army thrift stores. It's like going on a treasure hunt :) You never know what you will find, but you're almost guaranteed to find a good bargain. I particularly like shopping for used furniture, even if I don't end up buying anything.
My favorite thing is thrift store shopping. Its green, cheap, and (usually) supports a good cause instead of sweatshops. You almost can't lose.
My favorite post is: How to Make Cleaning Products From Things Already In Your Cupboard
This will sound all kinds of geeky, but I utterly *adore* saving and recycling plastic bags!! I've set aside the most colorful ones for eventually using them in knitting, even!
Others might not find it fun, but I simply adore composting. It never ceases to amaze me that my kitchen scraps can turn into "black gold", as my dad calls it.
My favorite thing to do is replace all of our light bulbs with energy saving ones --- and buying energy saving Christmas lights too.
I agree with Reba - my favorite tip has been the one about pets:
I love riding my bike to work instead of driving! This bottle would be a great companion!
The funnest part of my sustainable life is reclaiming and repurposing junk into something useful. It's fun to make stuff, it helps reduce consumption, and it makes me feel like MacGyver. The only drawback is it's hard to throw things away because I see potential in everything from twisty ties to an old sandal.
My fun way of living more green is making recycling a household fun thing. Everyone helps with it and makes sure we are really recycling everything we can.
My favorite green tip from the site is one about pets.
