If you've always wanted Photoshop, but couldn't afford the high price tag ($1,000 for the full Photoshop version, or $100 for Photoshop Elements), now's your chance to use Photoshop for FREE from now on.

Adobe has created an online-version of their Photoshop program. They call it Adobe Photoshop Express.

One of the best things about it is the fact that the program is completely Web-based so you can access it from any computer at any time.

Check it out!...

What's It Like?
I have to say, it sounds a little better than it really is...

Why? Because it's obviously a stripped down version of the 'real' Photoshop program.

But... who uses ALL of those tools and gadgets that Photoshop comes with anyway? Not me. I only use about a dozen. Actually only 4 or 5 on a daily basis.

Overall, with the new Adobe Photoshop Express, you only get access to about 17 of the Photoshop features. Plus, at least one or two very simple features are seriously lacking, in my opinion.

Here's my quick review...

The Photoshop tools it comes with:

  • Crop & Rotate
  • Auto Correct
  • Exposure
  • Red-Eye Removal
  • adobe-photoshop-express-test-drive.jpg Touch Up
  • Saturation
  • White Balance
  • Highlight
  • Fill Light
  • Sharpen
  • Soft Focus
  • Pop Color
  • Hue
  • Black & White
  • Tint
  • Sketch
  • Distort

The Photoshop tools it doesn't come with... but should:

  • Image Size
  • Text On Pictures

The Bonuses:
You can upload and store photos in online albums and make them public if you want so others can see your pictures, or you can share them privately via e-mail.

Try it out yourself: Adobe PhotsShop Express. (First, take the test drive to see all of the features without registering.)

Overall, I'd say Adobe Photoshop Express is just a small step above most online photo editing programs that are available online for free these days. But it's quick... and easy. And Adobe Photoshop Express has enough of the basics to make it a worthwhile photo editor to use on the fly.

I'm sure they'll continue to add more fun features to the program, so Adobe Photoshop Express will likely become a staple among online photo editors.
