Best Sites For Making Professional Holiday Cards That Are Personlized With Your Photos

| Comments (0)

Yesterday, I mentioned my top pick for photo holiday cards.

Today, we look at the top 5 holiday card companies chosen by Good Housekeeping (in the December 2007 issue of the magazine).

Remember, the Good Housekeeping lab (technically known as the Good Housekeeping Research Institute) puts items through fairly rigorous testing before they will give them the GH seal of approval.

I don't know if there's an official "seal" placed next to these companies' names or anything, but GH says "these 5 sites delivered the best cards (on high-quality paper stock) for a reasonable price".

Here they are (in no particular order):

My Card Maker

Shutterfly

Kodak Gallery

Zazzle

Snapfish

Reasons These Companies Ranked So Highly

  • At least one of them (My Card Maker) lets you print your own cards at home for free (after paying $4 for a one-day trial or $20 for a one-year membership).
  • Prices ranged from $1.69 to $1.79 each for an order of 50 photo cards.
  • Some of them will do most of the work for you. They'll stamp, address, and mail the cards for an additional fee (about 50 cents each).
  • At least one of them (Kodak Gallery) offers a choice of envelope color.
