Grindhouse Movie: Kurt Russell & Zoe Bell Steal The Spotlight

grindhouse-movie.jpg Surprise, surprise...

We had absolutely NO intention on ever seeing this movie (or should I say these movies?), but when the movie we went to see was sold out, there was nothing left to see but Grindhouse. And boy, are we glad we did.

If nothing else, but for the change of pace from the "traditional' movie experience...

If you don't already know, Grindhouse is a movie by Quentin Tarantino.

It was shot like an old-timey drive-in movie. And there are actually 2 movies -- a double feature -- for one price!

The first movie "Planet Terror" was a little too sci-fi for us, completely unbelievable (in a Dawn of the Dead kind of way), but still enjoyable.

As we walked out of the theater after the movie, we both agreed that this would be fun to watch at a Drive-in!

The second movie in this double-feature, "Death Proof", was loaded with some amazing stunt work from Zoe Bell, who hung on for dear life both inside and outside of a fast-moving car. Add that to the "rough & ready" attitude of Kurt Russell's character and his own very fast car, and you've got an action-packed movie that's fun to watch.

Here's an interesting interview with Zoe Bell.
