Hi Sue -
You're right, most online companies these days require a credit card when placing orders online.

As stated on the PhotoStamps site:
"For security purposes, Stamps.com requires a credit card for all PhotoStamps orders. Your credit card will not be charged unless there is a balance for your order that is not covered by your gift certificate or promotion."

I also noticed the following info on the Photo Stamps site:
--> You have the option of checking "Save my credit card information". I would NOT check that box.

--> It is a secure site. Here are the details:

Web Site Identity Verified
"The web site photo.stamps.com supports authentication for the page you are viewing. The identity of this web site has been verified by Verisign, Inc., a certificate authority you trust for this purpose."

Connection Encrypted: High-grade Encryption (AES-256 256 bit)
"The page you are viewing was encrypted before being transmitted over the Internet. Encryption makes it very difficult for unauthorized people to view information traveling between computers. It is therefore very unlikely that anyone read this page as it traveled across the network."

If you still have questions or concerns, I would recommend using this form to voice your concern and/or ask if you can order another way. "Security" is one of the dropdown options, and they have a box for you to list your phone number, if desired. Perhaps they have a way for you to place an order directly over the phone. The form states that they respond to all questions within 24 hours.

I understand your concerns. Hope that helps some...

I was so excited to read your blog and really wanted to try the photo stamps...how cool would that be. So I went to the site, had to register in order to add photo....it requires you to enter your credit card info, for this free offer. And I do not feel comfortable in todays world just putting my numbers in any site, was really dissapointed..but maybe some people aren't as worried about that as I am.
