Flight of the Concords subtley creates a refreshing humor in contrast to the other comedy shows. Without explicitness they suggest the darkness and sublimity that unites us all. Plus their sense of fashion is amazing. I have been looking for Jermaine's shirt with the moon and the deer, but it is nowhere to be found. What was most pleasing is seeing Bret dressed as an elf. Talk about vocational flexibility! Great HBO special.
I was hooked on FOTC after seeing them perform "Business Time" (I keep a pair of "business socks" with me at all times, now -- just in case, you know, conditions are perfect.) Good catch, HBO. The first episode is a riot. Can't wait to see more!
I like FotC for their low-key delivery and interesting way with words. I'm looking forward to seeing them in NY settings that I know from my own time living there, as well as hopefully hearing some new songs. It's hard picking a favorite song of theirs, but The Bus Driver Song is one of my absolute favorites. "Good day. Mind your step. Yeah, good on ya!"
I like FOTC because they are hilarious and put interesting spins on everything. I hope that the HBO features some of my fav songs like business time and hiphopopotamus vs. rthymenocerous. They have a great sound and are so funny!
