Have you seen these yet?

I was watching too much late-night TV one night, and my channel surfing cost me about $19.95 this go around.

Luckily, I didn't have any buyer's remorse over this little purchase:
Quik Top lids!

At the risk of sounding like my very own late-night commercial, here's why I love the Quik Top lids:

  • You can "save" a half can of soda for a few extra days, without losing the fizziness and flavor.
  • If you tip over the can -- with the lid screwed on -- it won't spill, thanks to the rubber seal found inside the cap.

  • purple-quik-top-lid.jpg
  • The opened top is a wide-mesh plastic, so it keeps flies and other bugs out of your drink.
  • The lid cover doubles as a coaster to prevent water rings.
  • They're easier to drink out of (without spilling) than a can is.

  • green-quik-top-lid.jpg
  • The different colored tops (you get 5 different colors per "set") make it easy to differentiate between different people's drinks -- either in the fridge or at a party.
  • They're great for people on the go because it's easy to put a lid on your drink and travel, without spilling a drop!

  • yellow-quik-top-lid.jpg
  • You can stick them in the dishwasher for quick & easy cleaning. (But I don't, it's quicker to wash them in the sink in my opinion.)

  • There's a built-in can tab opener, so you won't ruin your nails opening cans.

  • These lids fit on standard-sized water bottles, too. (There's even space in the mesh lid for a straw!)

Mom Likes Them, Too!

For what it's worth, I gave 2 of the 5 lids I received to my mom as a Christmas gift. She loves 'em!

She likes them because they keep the bugs out of her soda when she's riding on the golf cart. (She's an avid golfer, not a senior citizen living in a retirement community!)

UPDATE 3/7/07:
In light of the fact that most of the above links have gone dead, and I cannot find a contact or phone number for the company, and a handful of people have contacted me stating they've not received the Quik Top lids they paid for, I cannot recommend that anyone purchase QuikTop lids at this time. If I find more details, or company information for Quik Top lids, I will post it here at a later date. (For the record, I ordered mine in December 2006 through QVC. However, they are no longer available through QVC, as far as I can tell.)

UPDATE 3/18/07:
They're available on QVC again! (The item # is K3155.) I can wholeheartedly recommend purchasing the Quik Top lids through QVC. That's how I ordered them, and I received them in just a few days. Top quality!

I finally figured out why they do drip. Put your quik top on with the little grey hole that you can put the top on across from the hole of your soda. When You do...make sure you always drink where the grey clip hole is...if you don't...you are drinking from the wrong side of the soda can. When you do...too much soda gets into the quik top and will leak. also...when you wash it...make sure you get all the residue off of the rubber part of the quik top. Also, when you push down on it to put on a quik top, make sure you hear the "click". If you are doing all of this and it's still dripping...look to make sure you have a good connection around the rubber and part isn't stuck up in the wrong direction.

I bought this product not quite a year ago...I bought 15 of them...I love this product except for one thing...I have to rebuy them now and hide them in my room because someone stole them all...seems everyone loved them. I gave two away out of 15 and Pretty much used the same one all the time...in a little under a year all 15 were gone...Now I just pray my one i have left will last me till the newest shipment comes in.

My lids all leak a few drips each time I put the can up to my lips or go to sit it down, there's a drip or two that leaks out from around the rim of the quicktop lid - what am I doing wrong?
