Did you know?...
You can search for something on a website or blog even if that site doesn't have a Search Box.
Here's how.
If a web site doesn't have a Search Box, yet you wish to search that site for a phrase, word, or idea, simply do this:
Go to Google.com and in the entire Search Box type this:
1. The word or phrase (use quotes for phrases)
followed by...
2. A single space
followed by...
3. The word: site
followed by...
4. A colon
followed by...
5. The entire URL of the website
Then click ENTER, sit back & watch the magic.
You'll get a list of results showing only those articles on that particular website that reference that word or phrase!
Cool, huh?
[*NOTE: There is no space between the colon and the URL!]
Works Great With Blogger Sites!
This little trick is particularly helpful when browsing through Blogger (or Blogspot) sites, since they typically don't have Search Boxes.Like these, for example...
GlenBlogJennBlog
...search for margaret like this:
margaret site:http://glenblogjennblog.blogspot.com/
Squirrel Squad Squeeks
...search for XL like this:
XL site:http://squirrel-squad.blogspot.com/

Yes, I use "Control+F" ALL the time.
That's a good way to find something on a page.
But when it comes to finding something that's buried in all of the articles on a site, I use Google's site: search (mentioned above).
Thanks for the reminder about CTL+F though... I'm always amazed by how many people don't automatically think to use this shortcut when browsing web pages.
you probably already knew this little trick, but if you want to search for something on a particular page just hit Ctrl+F.
