| Comments (41)

Fun Times Guide roving reporter, Randy, writes...

Back in July you featured an article on Ford SuperTrucks. I checked out the links you had and found them to be interesting and also thought that a SuperTruck would seem to be the ultimate big boy toy.

Randy standing on the running boards of a brand new International CXT ...notice the watermelons growing on the dirt pile in the background!. I was on my way home from work the other day, in Marietta, and came across a BIG, yellow pickup in traffic. I followed it about a 1/4 mile to its destination: a landscape supply company.

I took a couple of photos and the driver invited me to take more if I cared to.

Looks Like Help Is Just Around The Corner... Ambulances Everywhere!

| Comments (0)

I saw so many ambulances passing in the course of 30 minutes on this one day that I couldn't always get my camera out in time to capture it. Okay, so what was with all the ambulances buzzing around town on Friday??? During my drive between Davidson and Williamson counties, I must've spotted a dozen or more ambulances!

Another ambulance during lunchtime in Nashville.

None of them actually had the siren on, but it seemed everywhere I looked during my lunch hour drive I saw an ambulance motoring about.

Passing another ambulance in Nashville.

So much so, that I felt compelled photograph those I saw on my way back to work. I wondered if I would see HALF as many as I saw on my way to lunch... I did!

SAW scary movie DVD -- one of the best scary movies. You may recall that I LOVED "Saw" (the first one).

Now, EXACTLY one year later, Director Darren Lynn Bausman strives to play with our minds and our emotions again with the release of Saw II which opens today, November 28th.

I can only hope that Saw II lives up to the first one (a rarity, I know), but scary movie fans who enjoy mind-thrillers like me don't want to be let down!

Here are some little-known facts about the movies "Saw" and "Saw II" that I found interesting...

Most Lit Jack-o'-Lanterns
Keene, New Hampshire takes its pumpkins seriously. Each year, the town tries to regain its status as World Record Holder for the most lit pumpkins during their annual Pumpkin Festival.

Check out this amazing behind-the-scenes video showing Keene, NH residents going for the world record again in 2005.

Although Keene still holds the record for the most jack-o-lanterns in one place (28,952 in 2003), a competing festival in Boston beat out Keene this year with a total of 24,541 pumpkins on Boston Common, compared to Keene's 22,157.

A ceramic pig. I guess I'm a pig-stalker of sorts...

On occasion, I happen to enjoy the wacky outfits and props that the neighbors use to dress up their porch-sittin' ceramic pig.

I call this little guy "Pig Howdy"...
