Everything You Want To Know About Playing Cornhole: The Best Backyard Game Ever!
Who knew when I wrote about playing with my friend's Cornhole (game!) a month ago, that article would quickly become one of our most popular?
So, I decided to find out everything I could about this FUN game...
And, after playing it myself for the first time just weeks ago, I have to admit... while I had terrible aim, no power, and barely scored any points, it was a heck of a way to pass the time!
Look Who's Playing Cornhole...
This backyard game of yesteryear is making a HUGE comeback these days. In fact, Cornhole is becoming the trendy new bean bag game in the U.S.!Practically every week, I hear of another person touting the praises of Cornhole, like Dierks Bently (of Country Music fame -- "What Was I Thinkin?", "Lot of Leavin' Left to Do"), who says it's his band's favorite thing to do between gigs!
In Illinois (and plenty of other places I'm sure), they even have what they call Bag Bars where they play this bean bag toss game religiously... over beer! Now, THAT's my kind of bar game!

I am still trying to get the demensions for building my own cornhole game
This game has been around since the mid-nineties in San Diego. But there are three holes each with a different value and you use Washers about 2 inches wide. The scoring platforms are about 6 to 8 feet apart.
We call it WaShoes(washer horse shoes)
Great resource for promoting the game...it is much appreciated. You can find great cornhole products at http://www.cornhole.com if you are interested.

Those Cornhole boards belong to our friends Neil & Abby.
Abby wrote here the following:
"My sister ordered the cornhole boards as a gift for me (from CornPentry.com, as Lynnette already posted). My sister has ordered several from this site, and has been happy with them, but I haven't seen any other than the ones we have."

I'm interested in organizing the "World's Largest Cornhole Tournament", but I'm not sure what the largest tourney is to date. I have the facilities and could get the sponsorships to make it happen. Any ideas?
I first played Cornhole this past Thanksgiving in Middletown, Oh at my nephew's. I love the game, its a good way to get my "horseshoe fix" in the winter. I am planning to set up a tournament at our Moose Club in Ironton, Oh. We plan to make this a family outing (indoors). I think it will draw a lot of interest and will be a great way to get out adults and kids involved in a good activity. Teams must consist of adult and kid (12 yrs to 16 yrs). Wish me luck

I think you are referring to "Ladder Golf" or "Bolo Toss".
You will find more about that outdoor game here.
Do you have any directions for building the contraption used for an outside game in which you have a rack made of plastic PVC pipe and you throw golf balls that are hooked together with rope. I don't know the name of the game - can you help me?
Went to my cousin's wedding in Chicago where I was introduced to "Bags." I couldnt get enough. I am building my own set now. Great fun, better than Missouri's "Washers" because you dont lose bags.
No offense to those who love the game, but I live in OH now and see it EVERYWHERE and just don't get it! Friends play it and friends love it, but I guess there just hasn't been enough beer involved for me to have fun!
