How To Make Cornhole Boards

How To Make Your Own Cornhole Bags

As for the corn-filled beanbag pouches used in Cornhole, you can sew your own bags for any bean bag toss game, including Cornhole. Here are instructions for making the bean bags from Michael Brungs (.pdf):

You need 16 7"x7" cloth squares for cornbags (enough for 8 cornbags). Depending on how many bags you want each player to throw (either two or four), select the fabric colors accordingly. To assemble the bags, take two of the 7" x 7" fabric squares and sew a quarter inch seam on three sides. Fill each bag with 2.25 cups of corn. Sew the last open side of the bag. Double stitch each bag on all four sides. The bags do take a beating."

Did you know?...
When you buy a professional Cornhole set, the corn toss bags are usually made of "Duck Cloth".

Bonus Tip: You can make your cornhole boards (and bags!) glow in the dark by using glow in the dark paint on the platform boards themselves and glow in the dark fabric paint on the bags. Enjoy!

Brandy...Someone posted a great idea on that!! My family and friends are big corn hole players. We hold tourneys all the time, great for bbq's and such. One thing that we always had a problem with was finding the correct distance of the boards. Each time they would either be too close or too far. So, what we did was measured out the correct distance, put an eye screw in the front of each board and tied a rope at each end. Then.... you just pull the boards apart until the slack on the rope is gone. Perfect distance every time... no tape measurer needed!!!

Brandi said:

Whats the best way to measure the distance between the two boards? I've seen some people use a rope, but I'm not sure how they are attaching it to get the right distance... Any help with this would be awesome!
