War Of The Worlds: 2 Thumbs Up

| Comments (0)

War of the Worlds movie starring Tom Cruise and Dakota Fanning. We saw War of the Worlds 2-3 weeks after it had opened in theaters. Still, the movie theater was PACKED -- and that's always a good sign.

I couldn't help but recall two very specific things from an episode of Oprah I happened to catch BEFORE I went to see this movie...

Throughout the entire movie I kept remembering:

1. Dakota Fanning said (when asked how she dealt with all the scary monsters):
"We didn't SEE any monsters through the entire filming process. They were all added afterwards.

2. Miranda Otto (who plays Tom Cruise's ex, who's now remarried and pregnant) said:

"After I got the part, I told the producer I was pregnant... and they said 'We'll just work it into the part.'"

(I guess that's rare.) In the movie she looked as if she was about to deliver on the set!

Here's our complete review of the movie War of the Worlds, as well as other movies we've seen recently.
