For some reason, Jim was quite hesitant to go see this movie. Though for him, a movie's gotta be GREAT -- otherwise, he feels that he's just wasted 2 hours of his time.
I, on the other hand, can appreciate most movies in one way or another. If nothing else, I am thankful for the fact that we managed to drag ourselves out of the house and AWAY from the computers -- that alone, makes virtually ANY movie more exciting than a computer screen!
Plus the fact that I get to call it a "date". :-)
What Made Fever Pitch Worth Seeing?...
Mostly the way they were able to work in actual footage from the recent World Series games where the Boston Red Sox actually won!
Some of the scenes were even shot right there on the field during, before, or after a game.
Plus, there are some Johnny Damon scenes in there. (Speaking of, I saw him on some interview show recently, and I think I wanna read his book!)
Drew Barrymore and Jimmy Fallon are both perfect in their roles. Both independent and head-strong. Both with their unique quirks.
Here's my complete review of the movie, Fever Pitch (...plus lots of other movies we've seen).
