Our Favorite Bookmarks: Sites We Check Daily

Here are our favorite Internet links that we check on a daily basis. These are the bookmarks we go to most often...

Our Favorite Links To Bookmark

  • 4-Wheeldrive Vehicles & Offroading - for everything you want to know about the popular sport of offroading, including four-wheel drive vehicles, trucks, SUVS, ATVs, and Jeeps!

  • Bug-Me-Not - any time you come across a website that asks you to "register" before you can view anything on their site, just go here first and find a password that will let you enter that site without actually going through all the hassle of registering. Plus, here's a bonus tip! (You've got to keep this one bookmarked & in a VERY handy location, or it's not worth the time spent searching for where you put it...)

  • Consumer & Expert Opinions - before we buy anything new, we check here first to see what the experts are saying about it, and how actual consumers feel about owning that particular product.

  • Franklin Review Appeal newspaper - the online version of our local newspaper for up-to-date news about our little community. (We also click over the Williamson A.M. edition for news about the entire county we live in and the Brentwood Journal for daily news about the town next to us.)

  • HTML Goodies - a great resource for all things HTML. They demonstrate step-by-step how to do things on your web site in very simple steps.

  • Learning Movable Type - Elise is the master at explaining how to do fun things within the Movable Type web site program.

  • Merriam-Webster Online Dictionary - another one to place at the top of your bookmarks to quickly check the spelling of a word when you're at your computer.

  • My Yahoo - a customizable personal homepage that you can set to open automatically every time you log onto the Internet. But far beyond that... you can check ALL of your other e-mail accounts from this one spot, you get a place to keep pages and pages of notes and lists that you can view from any computer, plus storage for all your Internet bookmarks so you can add to them and view them from any computer, a briefcase to store files and images so you can access them from any computer, and even a free online photo gallery that you can just use for yourself or for sharing photos with anyone you wish. There's nothing to download... No tricky coding to learn... it's all FREE with your Yahoo e-mail account!

  • PC World Magazine - for answers to all your computer questions, as well as a resource if you're just itching to try something new on your computer. (They're also branching out into the electronics world now... so there's lots of helpful tips regarding digital photography too!)
